SUMMARY

SUMMARY

Photographer Debra LaCoppola was a caregiver to her father- Lenny for 4 years. Self Care was her means of survival during this time. She shares self care tips and guidance in the first half of the book and then moves onto Wilson, guidance and tips for being a caregiver to your parent.

In addition she interviewed (7) women caregivers from different parts of the country, with very different lives, who were also caregivers to their parents. The heartfelt stories of the other caregivers coupled with Debra’s journey makes this book real and loving. It also proves that nothing is impossible and gives insight into ways to grant your parents the control of their own lives.

This is a must read for anyone who is a caregiver to a parent. As we all need guidance for a task as difficult as this one and to be reminded that we are not alone.
