I’m an eternal optimist. Always seeing the good and finding a solution. It certainly helped me as a caregiver, seeing the good especially, keeping positive in all situations. I learned it from Lenny my dad. It’s also part of being a great producer and photographer, finding solutions and staying positive.
I am a yogini and do YOGA, I have been practicing for over 20 years! I’m also an avid walker and love to walk, beach, nature, city everywhere! Two simple practices that can be done anywhere.
Whatttt? You know I’m from NEW YORK !! RIGHT??
Well, It was 2020 and we (my husband Charlie) and I are usually Super busy running all over LA shooting video and photography, meeting, the things you do in business, and here we were week after week… After 3 weeks when we realized nothing was changing and we had just about enough rest and Netflix’s – Charlie woke up one morning and said “ Why don’t you write a book about being a caregiver to your dad? I thought he was nuts… So of course I thought WHY? And lo and behold the next morning I started writing and wrote most of it during the pandemic.
If you count my diary growing up, then yes. I always loved poetry as a kid and started writing poems when I was young. Then in Art school (School of Visual Arts) I started getting more into my writing and used it with my photography sometimes, but not a lot. And then when I took a writing class at SVA, my writing professor said “Your a writer” I’ll never forget it, but kind of pushed it away for the last 25 years, well sort of. I have been secretly writing and only sharing it with Charlie, which is why he knew I needed to write.. Oh, boy.. this got long… and personal…
This is a good question. I am always in love with wherever I live, when I’m living there, remember eternal optimist?? But really I loved being bi-coastal the most. We shared our time between New York City and the Oregon Coast for almost 4 years and that was the best so far….I mostly enjoyed the contrast between Roaring nature and Ecstatic City!
